The Hale Mauka-Makai “Mountain-Ocean House” is our HUGE 5 bedroom/3 bathroom, direct beachfront vacation rental home on the North Shore of Oahu, literally just steps from the edge of the Pacific Ocean. This 3000 sq. ft. home can easily accommodate big families looking to stay under one roof or families looking to have plenty of space to stretch their legs. The views from this two-story home are breathtaking, providing you with a 180 degree view of Hauula bay with the Ko’olau Mountain Range as your natural backdrop for priceless photos and memories.

The downstairs portion (1,500+ sf living area) has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with porcelain tile floors throughout. It also features a remodeled kitchen & bath with granite counter tops, full size stainless steel stove/range, built-in microwave, full size refrigerator, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. This floor also has a private en-suite coin-op washer & dryer. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys direct ocean views. There are two queen size sleeper sofas in the living room in addition to a dining area with teak dining table and seating for six. The master bedroom has wrap-around ocean views and is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a high quality Sealy pillow-top queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a high quality Sealy pillow-top queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. The third bedroom is furnished with two high quality Sealy pillow-top twin size beds. All downstaris areas have ceiling fans, however they are rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful cool ocean breezes year around.

The upstairs area of this vacation home is a spacious (1,500+ sf living area) two bedroom, two bath area with porcelain tile floors in the living area and wall to wall carpet in the bedrooms. It aslo features a complete, large and open, modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, sealed top stove/range, microwave, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals, making this home perfect for families traveling together or multi-generational families. The upstaris living area is light and airy, featuring vaulted ceilings and tropical-style furnishings. Almost every area has breathtaking ocean & mountain views. There are two three-person couches for your comfort in addition to an adjacent dining area with seating for up to six. The master suite is furnished with tropical furniture and a king-size, high quality pillow-top bed. The master bath features decorative ceramic tile work and has amazing ocean and mountain views to enjoy while showering. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and tropical furniture for an airy island feel, also in this room is a coin-op washer and dryer in the closet. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans although they are rarely needed as this large Hawaii vacation home enjoys cool tropical breezes year around.

Enjoy relaxing on the direct beach deck which opens up to the blue South Pacific Ocean only 20 feet away. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in one of our nearby hot tubs. Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. Holiday Rates: We charge a flat rate of $4,199.00 for reservations covering Christmas or New Year's Holiday. This rate covers up to 7 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal nightly rate. Christmas reservations must vacate by December 29 and New Years reservations cannot arrive earlier than December 29. Reservations which include both Christmas and New Years are billed a flat rate of $8,399.00 and cover up to 14 nights. Additional nights are billed at the normal rate.

Other Fees & Details:

All rates quoted are based upon eight (8) person occupancy and are charged based upon the number of nights you stay.

Absolute minimum requirement for booking a reservation is three (3) nights. No exceptions.

Minimum requirement for Christmas & New Year's.

Minimum requirement for Thanksgiving, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July is 5 nights.

Add $15.99 daily charge for each additional guest over eight (8) person occupancy up to a maximum of sixteen (16) people, including children over 1 year of age.

Two (2) parking spaces are included with the rent. Extra parking may be ordered through our secure online reservations system for only $4.99/day.

Add a one-time, non-refundable, cleaning fee of $250.00 to all reservations, facilities fee of $14.99 per day and one-time, non-refundable reservation fee of $24.99.

State of Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax is currently 13.962% (charged on rent) and State of Hawaii General Excise Tax on Oahu is currently 4.712% (charged on services, not including rent).
